Every year I pick a word to anchor my plans for the next year. This year my husband and I agreed on a shared word - ‘solid’ - and I’m glad he agreed. 2023 was our year of adventure starting with the birth of our beautiful baby girl, followed by a move to France and then us both starting new business ventures — some of life’s biggest challenges.
Solid in 2024 for us means leaning into what we have, checking the foundations have been laid correctly (quite literally for my husband’s new business) and spending quality time as a family without the constant need to feel like we need to be rushing around doing a million things at once.
Solid for me has also meant reflecting on my career plans and on my career path to date. I’m sure I’m not the first person to feel like you sometimes have to stumble and relearn some tough lessons to regain the focus on your ambitions and dreams.
2024 is the year I’m officially launching my Customer Success Consulting business. From working as a Consultant at Accenture at the start of my career to then spending the next 10+ years in Customer Success and Operations functions in start-ups, I’m super excited to get out there and use my experience to help other organisations grow successfully.
I’ve worked in B2C market-places, fintechs such as Onfido, who have just announced their acquisition and more recently a B2B analytics company. This varied experience, and deep expertise in growing customer success and operations functions uniquely positions me to help teams design, create and improve customer facing processes or to coach their future leaders on how to do this.
